Abstract

Effect of aromatic agent on isoprene polymerization with rare earth catalyst was investigated in the laboratory by the means of adding aromatic agent in the course of catalyst aging. In contrary to the function of aromatic agent as polymerization solvent or as a component of polymerization solvent that reduced the catalytic activity, aromatic agent as aging additive could enhance catalytic activity and lower the molecular weight of the polymer product.
