Abstract
Economic and financial analysis of hydroelectric power station projects is reviewed. Indicators of economic feasibility discussed include: life of a project and salvage value, terms of power purchase contract, benefit and cost streams, net present value, benefit/cost ratio, and internal rate of return. Economics analysis parameters and their associated uncertainties are discussed. Two detailed case studies are presented. (J.M.M.)
