Abstract
1. 1. The distribution of phosphofructokinase total activity and isozyme patterns have been compared among rabbit, rat, guinea pig, and mouse tissues. 2. 2. In all species, the patterns were basically similar with PFK-A present as the sole or major form of muscle and heart and with PFK-B the major or sole form of liver and erythrocytes. 3. 3. Electrophoretic patterns indicated the presence of hybrid isozymes in all species. 4. 4. Antisera prepared against purified rabbit muscle and liver phosphofructokinases were capable of binding phosphofructokinases of rat and mouse.
