Abstract
Chemoprevention of tumorigenesis is expected to be one major strategy to decrease the death and suffering from cancer. Diets and phytochemicals are the major resources of identifying chemopreventive agents against tumorigenesis. The review briefly discusses the general approach to developing promising candidates from diets and phytochemicals, exemplified by a few examples, some of which are in clinical evaluation.
