Abstract

The article discusses the issues involved in the formation and operation of research consortia. The issues based on models of creativity and innovation; successful knowledge management projects are discussed. By establishing methods of easily sharing and accessing data, information and knowledge, the consortia will exploit synergies that would not otherwise have been apparent.
