Abstract

The application of wavelet packet(WP) in the echo cancellation is investigated and its performance is discussed. An efficient algorithm is developed to design a set of optimal wavelet filter banks for echo cancellation. Experimental results show that with the optimum wavelet filter banks, the output echo energy can be minimized and the computation load can be reduced.
