Abstract
Hydrogen bonds formed between conjugate acid-base pairs are well known for their exceptional strength. However, their application in structure design has been largely silent. Successful design of new crystalline phases of two widely studied compounds suggests that reinvigorated exploration of these interactions may benefit solid state chemistry and related fields.
