Abstract

A microculture technique was used to measure early protein and DNA synthesis in peripheral lymphocytes of goats in response to stimulation by nonspecific phytomitogens. A simplified easily constructed apparatus for harvesting the cells from the microtitration plate was developed. A dose response curve was obtained for the stimulation of the lymphocytes by phytohemagglutinin and pokeweed mitogen.
