Abstract
A computer model, designated ICICURE, was developed which simulates the autoclave curing of ICI Fiberite 977-2 and 977-3 resins. Model inputs are number of plies, the time temperature profile and applied pressure during cure, fiber areal weight and resin mass fraction. The output of ICICure includes degree of cure vs. time, resin viscosity vs. time, and number of plies compacted at the end of the cure cycle. Model results are compared with experimental data. There is good agreement between model results and the experimental data.
