Abstract

A new uranium intermetallic compound UOs2Zn20 has been synthesised and its crystal structure has been determined from single-crystal X-ray diffraction data. The obtained results showed that UOs 2Zn20 is isostructural with the UT2Zn 20 (T = Fe, Ru, Co, Rh, Ir) phases, which crystallize with the cubic CeCr2Al20-type (space group Fd3̄m, No. 227) unit cells.
