Abstract

The magnetic properties of the localized-spin ferromagnet EuO have been measured using Faraday rotation. The exponent γ describing the divergence of the susceptibility above T_c is found to have the value γ = 1.30 ± 0.02. The agreement and discrepancy between our result and those of other experiments, model calculations, and speculations on dipolar interactions are discussed.
