N2 - The authors regret that there is a mistake in the results section (paragraph with subheader “All-cause death”), which incorrectly interprets results presented in the supplementary material. With regards to the relative effect of high-dose vs. standard-dose influenza vaccine against all-cause death, the sentence currently reads: “Positive effects were observed in those free of cardiovascular disease and in individuals aged 65–79 years, respectively statistically significant and insignificant." The correct phrasing should be “respectively statistically non-significant and significant.” The authors would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
