N2 - The above article was submitted 21 months after Andrew Yeckel resigned from his position at the University of Minnesota (UMN). He was not directly involved with results presented in it nor with its writing, thus he was not originally listed as a co-author. However, in recognition of his intellectual contributions, while still at UMN, to the formulation of the mathematical model for the traveling heater method, his name should be added, and the list of authors should read as above. Also, it has been initially omitted to mention that the simulation results presented in this article were computed using Cats2D software [1]. The authors would like to apologize for any inconvenience caused.
