We regret the presence of an incorrect statement, based on our review of Wu et al (2015).⁸ In our MM review we stated that the presence of Malassezia as a prominent commensal in the oral mycobiome as found by Dupuy et al (2014)⁸⁰ could not be confirmed by re-evaluation with Malassezia genomes as stated in Wu et al (2015).⁸ We have personally re-analyzed the data presented by Dupuy et al (2014)⁸⁰ and confirm the presence of Malassezia ITS1 reads.
