Corneal Implants

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

Abstract

The chapter provides a detailed description of different types of corneal inlays, including both artificial and biologic implants. Various pictures are included to illustrate the shapes and sizes of these implants with their potential complications. These complications range from mild to severe and can include issues such as corneal infections, melting, migration within the cornea, or local fibrosis. Early diagnosis of these complications can guide the treatment to prevent further vision loss.
