Abstract
A deductive system based on the use of goal-oriented languages and, in particular, of the MICROPLANNER is described. The system operates in a simple simulated environment. The program is written in MICROPLANNER and makes use of several of its features, such as the pattern-directed procedures invocation, automatic backtracking, retrieval and storage of expressions in data base, etc.
