N2 - In designing research studies to conduct in the workplace, it is important to consider the corporate culture, to include both union and management personnel, and to ensure the design accommodates the characteristics of the worksite. Conducting research in the workplace offers unique challenges and opportunities for creative solutions. Many of the goals of Healthy People 2000 for working adults in the U.S. will be facilitated by research in the workplace. Suggestions based on these researchers' experiences are shared in hopes of helping others planning to conduct research in the worksite.
