Abstract

The average dissipative conductance of an array of mesoscopic rings, subject to an a.c. magnetic flux, is investigated. The magnitude and sign of the magnetoconductance is found to depend on the statistical ensemble (canonical or grand-canonical), the temperature and inelastic level broadening.
