Abstract

In this closing chapter of this handbook, we sketch out some possible extensions and themes for future research based on the contributions made by scholars represented in it. We discuss three elements of situatedness – individual, context, and business – and how they might inform future scholarship in the field. We close with a call to keep the purpose and vision of BHR, which has sought to eliminate human rights violations with a nexus to business to improve the lives of rightsholders, foremost as the field develops, matures, and becomes more institutionalized.
