abstract = "In this paper we consider the joint compression of correlated Gaussian sources when each source has its own distortion criterion. We derive the rate-distortion function in the form of the solution to a semidefinite programming problem, for which analytical solutions can be obtained for the two source case. We compare the obtained results with: i) the classical Gaussian vector source compression; ii) the Gaussian multiterminal source coding. For the latter, the derived rate-distortion function provides a tighter lower bound for the sum rate-distortion function of the Gaussian multiterminal source coding than that of Oohama [9].",
