Abstract
Phase-shifted full bridge(PSFB), half bridge zero-current-switching(HBZCS), LLC resonant converter are three typical topologies widely used in DC/DC conversion scenario. However, when it is applied in high power conversion system, especially in locomotive traction, it is rarely discussed for the quantitative comparison of DC/DC topology to find the optimum design. This paper presents a comprehensive comparison among three typical and mature zero-voltage switching(ZVS)/ zero-current switching (ZCS) isolated bridge structure DC/DC converters in terms of cost and efficiency and reveals their intrinsic advantages and disadvantages. After the theoretical analysis of operation principle and parameter design, an example of 160kW 4kHz DC/DC conversion based on three topologies is designed. Finally, the comparison result shows PSFB converter has obvious advantages in efficiency while HBZCS converter in cost.
