Abstract

The first theory of the sphere charge inversion (SCI) in the necklacelike complex of the polyelectrolyte (PE) with many spheres is proposed. This theory accounts for the interaction between different spheres. The theory, with minor modifications, can also describe the complexation of polyelectrolytes with macroions of nonspherical shape.
