Abstract
We discuss a new approach proposed earlier by Voloshin and Zakharov to calculate the ratio Γ(ψ′→J/ψππ)/Γ(ψ′→J/ψη). Some shortcomings in the original analysis are eliminated. The final result for the ratio of the decay widths stays practically intact, and we extract additional information about the amplitude ψ′→J/ψππ.
