Abstract
One of the main impediments to the large scale application of hemofiltration is the availability and cost of large volumes of intravenous quality substitution fluid. The authors conducted a study of hemofiltration in 24 patients and designed a central on-site scheme for the batch preparation of substitution fluid. Details of this central system and experience with it are reported in the paper.
