Abstract

Racially traumatic events that occur external to organizations—such as police violence towards Blacks—poses several challenges to Black employees’ well-being and organizational functioning. In this paper, we conceptualize police violence through event systems theory as an external event that catalyzes multilevel resourcing practices to promote Black employees’ well-being.
