title = "Calibration of fiber bundles for flow and combustion measurements",
abstract = "A calibration method for optical fiber bundle is presented under the context of flow and combustion measurements. Optical fiber bundles have the potential to become a powerful tool to facilitate flow and combustion measurements. This work therefore investigated the use of imaging fiber bundles to acquire images of a target object simultaneously from various views and locations, which were recorded on camera chip. Calibration of the acquired images was then demonstrated. These calibration results confirm the feasibility and accuracy of optical fiber bundles in acquiring multiple images simultaneous. Measurements in controlled flames show the potentials of optical fiber bundles to obtain kHz flow/combustion measurement, with sub-mm spatial resolution. Such capability is expected to significantly facilitate the multi-location flow/combustion at multiple locations and the three-dimension tomography measurements.",
