Abstract
Trace elements were determined for 12 celadonite and smectite-rich veins. The oxidative alteration zones have celadonite and Fe-oxyhydroxide and concentrations of K, Rb and B. The non-oxidative zones have Mg-rich smectite (saponite), talc and calcite plus high Li. Apparently, the smectite is enriched with Ni whose source was olivine in the basalt.-K.A.R.
