Abstract
We consider axion fields with Lorentz Chern-Simons coupling to gravity. In Kerr black hole background metrics this coupling gives a non-vanishing source term for the axion field. For the case of a slowly rotating black hole, we explicitly calculate the long range axion field strength "hair" produced. We believe that this represents the first known example of stable, dynamical, non-gauge "hair" exhibited by a black hole.
