Abstract

Correction to: Communications Earth & Environment, published online 29 August 2023. There were errors in the captions for Figures 3 and 4 and in Figure 6 of the original version of this article. In the original version of this article, the captions for figures 3 and 4 were incomplete. The original sentence “The shaded grid depicts those populations which fall within one standard deviation of the mean.” that appears at the end of both captions has now been amended to read “The shaded grid depicts those populations which fall within one standard deviation of the mean on both axes.” In the original version of Figure 6 of this article, there was an error in the colour scale representing the degree of ecological and socio-political fragility. In some instances, regions of “Low ecological fragility - High socio-political fragility” were wrongly displayed as “Low ecological fragility - Low socio-political fragility”, and vice versa. The colour scale has now been corrected in Figure 6. These errors were not reflected in the text and these changes do not affect the results or conclusions. These errors have been corrected in both the PDF and HTML versions of the Article.
