Abstract
Enamel microabrasion has been used to remove hypomineralized areas caused by enamel fl uorosis or those caused by an idiopathic condition. The combination of at-home whitening with 10 % carbamide peroxide in a custom-fi tted tray and enamel microabrasion is discussed and illustrated in this chapter as a successful treatment combination in cases of brown fl uorosis stains that are not completely eliminated with at-home whitening.
