Abstract
Percutaneous placement of bile drainage systems has become a useful technique in the management of patients with unresectable neoplastic liver disease. The authors describe an anterior approach for biliary duct drainage that improves fluoroscopic visualization and facilitates placement. Accidental puncture of the pleural space is avoided since the pleural reflection is higher anteriorly.
