Abstract
We use incoherent scattering matrices to calculate the angle dependent magnetoresistance and find analytic expressions for a tri-layer current-perpendicular-to-plane nanowire. We find that the non-linearity of magnetoresistance versus β = cos 2(θ/2) can be quantitatively explained by reflected electrons using only experimental spin polarization as input. We extend this model to a multilayer nanowire and find the simulation approximately matches experiment.
