Abstract

We report the case of a man who developed severe regurgitation and complete heart block secondary to coarctation of the aorta and mixed aortic valve disease. Despite surgery to treat this condition he developed a dissecting aneurismal dilatation of the ascending aorta just above the site of the previous surgery. High resolution computed tomography angiogram enabled early diagnosis of this late complication of his initial surgery as well as enabling early intervention.
