Abstract
The cortex is composed of cortical columns which act as functional compute units in the brain. Epicortical micro-scale electrodes allow experimenters to study these cortical columns and how their activity relates to behavior. Here, we present mesoscale analysis between primary language areas during simple language production. We observed meso-scale spatial and temporal patterns of coupling that correlated with spoken words.
