Abstract
We provided an abstract description based on functions for the peer-to-peer trust management, and carried a function analysis for the security based on this description. The analyzing results showed that the basic object of the trust management was to achieve the depicture of peers' security distribution. Meanwhile we explored the rules which the depicture must satisfy when maximizing the system security, and exposed the principles and problems for typical trust mechanism nowadays.
