Dr Megan E. Patrick is a faculty member at the Institute for Social Research at the University of Michigan. Dr Patrick graduated with a doctorate in Human Development and Family Studies from The Pennsylvania State University in 2008. Her research surrounds the development of substance use and risky sexual behavior during adolescence and the transition to adulthood, and the roles of motivations and expectancies in intervention programs to promote health. Her research has primarily been supported by federal grants from the National Institute on Drug Abuse and the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism. She has published studies in peer-reviewed journals on adolescent development, substance use, and sexual behavior.
