Abstract
Aminophylline frequently is used as a bronchodilator in patients with reversible airway obstruction. Its use during anesthesia, however, is controversial. A patient who was receiving therapeutic doses of aminophylline and who developed sudden supraventricular tachycardia following the administration of pancuronium is described.
