Acidity and specific conductivity measurements in some plant communities of the New Forest valley bogs

Abstract

One hundred and forty-six analyses of water conductivity and pH, and peat pH, have been made in several plant communities of four New Forest valley bogs in southern England. The ecological significance of the data is discussed, and the relations between acidity, conductivity and environmental factors are examined.
