Abstract

We proposed a new wrinkle-based electrochemical sensor to detect prostate-specific antigen (PSA) for point-of-care (POC) diagnosing prostate cancer. The wrinkles were regulated by the polymer shrink technique with wavelengths from 200 nm to 4 μm, demonstrating different freedom degrees and sensitivities towards antigens and small molecules. A shrink sensor with 200 nm gold integrated into a portable system was validated by a label-free immunoassay for detection of PSA in 20 μL serum within 35 minutes and exhibited an ultralow limit of detection (0.38 fg/mL) and wide linear response (8 order of magnitude).
