Abstract

This paper presents a novel approach to interface renewable energy sources such as photovoltaic, wind-electric, and small hydroplants with 3-phase utility systems. The main features of this interface are low distortion in the line-currents, capability to incorporate electrical isolation by means of high frequency transformers, ease of control to maximize the power output and a potential for low cost.
