Abstract

Restoration measures for use in redesigning small streams in agricultural areas to reduce the transport of nutrients to surface waters and to restore plant and animal life along and within stream channels are proposed. Eight measures are defined, to be regarded as building blocks to be put together in various ways for specific streams. Economic aspects of stream restoration are discussed. (D.W.T.)
