Professional Information
Victor Krause is a scientist for the Materials and Bioeconomy Program. He is a chemist by training with a background that includes coating application, formulation, adhesives and laminating.
He manages the Materials Testing Room for the University of Minnesota Duluth Natural Resources Research Institute. He is knowledgable in performance testing of solid wood, wood composites, plastics and plastic composites and products manufactured using these materials. He has extensive knowledge and experience with physical performance testing of surface coatings and laminates.
He has twenty years of experience in membrane pressing research and technology development that includes pressing techniques, adhesive performance testing and adhesive application. He has been trained in the formulation of environmentally compliant coatings. He also has consulted with various clients on coating selection, coatings application, HVLP spray equipment usage and spray equipment selection and design.
