My philosophy is that a good web site is the result of a solid content strategy, which in turn comes from people collaborating on what they want to communicate and how they will reach their audience. That ground work determines web site layout, visual design, content, and of course how the site will be built and maintained.

The web strategy team I lead is guided first by web standards, not just for technology, but also for the subjective manner in which people expect the web to work. From that base, we mix in the goals for each person we work with, the college and the University. We collaborate with over a dozen content strategists that work in each major college unit; this peer-group relationship keeps our work on track and creates an engaging, healthy work environment.

Philosophies my team and I are best known for:

  • Choosing trust over control.
  • That content strategy actually determines a good plan, not software.
  • The web might be your largest communication channel, but it isn't the only one.

Please feel free to contact me for assistance with your web strategy.
