Personal profile

Research interests

I am a NICHD K99/R00 scholar interested in early life exposures and later health. I leverage methods of clinical research, epidemiology, and ‘omics-based techniques to examine the interplay between stress and nutrition and their associations with growth and neurodevelopment, with the goal of optimizing these outcomes for all infants. I am particularly interested in reducing health risks for preterm infants, who are susceptible to impaired growth, neurodevelopment, and the development of chronic illnesses. My current project aims to determine the associations between maternal stress, milk composition, and infant feeding and neurodevelopmental outcomes.

As a pediatric registered dietitian, I am dedicated to improving health for the neonatal and pediatric populations.
