Organization profile

The University’s Tourism Center prepares and supports the tourism industry and communities engaging in tourism for success and sustainability.  Established in 1987, the Tourism Center conducts applied tourism research and delivers research-based education that informs local decisions, drives marketing strategies and helps businesses and communities address their priority issues. The Tourism Center frequently partners with other University faculty, staff and students.  The center also maintains a dynamic and diverse industry advisory committee that contributes insight, ideas and support.

In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. Our work contributes towards the following SDG(s):
