The Minnesota Center Against Violence and Abuse (MINCAVA) conducts research on family violence and provides information and resources on violence prevention through a variety of funded projects including the Electronic Clearinghouse (, the VAWnet Applied Research Forum (, Violence Against Women Online Resources (, Child Exposure to Domestic Violence Project (, the Hague Domestic Violence Project (, and the Honor Our Voices project ( The Center, established in 1994 by a grant authorized by the Minnesota Legislature, is a program of the School of Social Work, an academic unit of the College of Education and Human Development.
