Description
This data set contains qualitatively coded standard conditions of parole for each jurisdiction of the United States of America for roughly every twelve years from 1956 to 2020. There are ten .csv files: five files of parole rules censuses spanning 1956 to 2008, compiled by previous researchers in the past and coded by the authors; a census of parole rules for 2020, compiled and coded by the authors; a category count by census year; a condition count by census year and jurisdiction; a category cross-walking chart for the six censuses; and a raw text coding matrix for the 2020 census. There is also a .txt Readme file.
