Description

Simulation code for "Assessment of Small Watershed Stormwater Sampling Methods", as described in the manuscript. There are six python scripts used to generate the analysis and figures for the paper. We ran the scripts in the Spyder IDE. Note that the script simulate.py needs to be run prior to the analyze_simulations.py script. runoff_sim.py is the simulation framework. model_examples.py was used to generate the figures other than Fig. 6 for the methods section of the manuscript. plot_watershed_iuhs.py was used to generate Fig. 6 of the manuscript. simulation_storm_parameters.py contains the parameters used for the three simulations in the manuscript. simulate.py runs the three simulations in the manuscript. analyze_simulations.py analyzes the output of the simulations from simulate.py, and generates the figures used in the results section of the manuscript. We also include the necessary data files to perform the simulation. The four .csv files in the rain_patterns folder are derived from Huff (1990), as described in the paper. The file scs_iuh.csv is used by plot_watershed_iuhs.py, and is derived from NRCS (2007).
